Break me, Rosa
Description: Rosa Diaz tries to break Jill Valentine's hard shell. Will she be able to break the strong cop down? (Well, obviously, or else this crossover wouldn't exist. Just try to immerse yourself a little!)
I've wanted to do a scene like this with Rosa for a while, and even wrote a half-ass draft somewhere with an OC. The problem is, an OC here seems really pointless (I mean, how can I introduce her without being boring?). So I tried to find another female cop to do a crossover with (no one in Brooklyn-99 would fit what I sought). Jill Valentine was the perfect candidate, but unfortunately it's not a character that is that developed (and I have played the remake of RE3 yet). So I'm sorry if she seems a little OOC sometimes.
Shaw's bar was the place of choice for the 99th precinct to celebrate anything.
It was the end of the first Halloween Heist, of which Jake emerged victorious. But for this glorious victory, he had to thank Jill, the newly transferred cop, who helped him in exchange of a week's worth of paperwork.
Everyone as celebrating, shouting, laughing and fighting, except Jill herself, who used this commotion to draw herself nearer to the bar and enjoy a lone beer.
After a short while, she heard a familiar voice from behind her.
"What are you doing back there?"
It was Rosa, who seemingly noticed her escape.
Jill waved her half-drunk beer around. "What do you want me to do? Cheer up like a child? I've won, been dragged here by my teammate who wanted to celebrate like it was the greatest achievement of his life, the only thing for me to do is drink a bit alone, then go home." She pointed at her bottle. "Want one?"
Rosa raised an eyebrow slightly before shaking her head.
"Uh huh," she said dryly, crossing her arms, eyeing the ex-STAR.
Jill frowned. "What?"
"I don't buy it. You seem tense. This isn't like you."
With a lazy gesture, Jill orders a beer for her fellow policewoman.
"I'm still sick of the STAR dissolution. Political maneuvers ain't good for public safety. No offense, but being a detective is a straight-up downgrade for me. In these past three months, the most constructive I did was helping Perralta win his little game. So yeah, I'm bummed out."
